Wisdom Teeth

This weekend was bittersweet. My good friend Kim watched our dogs for me while I went down to Altus to pick Ben up Wednesday night and I got to bring him home with me on Thursday morning. It was so good to see him. Unfortunately the reason he came home with me is because I had to get my wisdom teeth out Friday morning. I get so worked up about these little things that just have to be done. But Ben so kindly escorted me as he was making little comments such as "going under the knife", "being a victim", "you'll be so smoked after you won't be able to do anything". He was actually trying to make me laugh and some of them worked but I wanted to cry I was so scared. But as I got in the surgery room, they blasted some country music and put me on some laughing gas to make me feel better but after about 10 minutes my heart rate was still going crazy and I wasn't feeling any different. But once I got my IV I was good to go. I did come home and rest the whole first day but after that I wasn't very good about being on bed rest. I am so lucky. So far I have not felt any pain whatsoever and I barely have any swelling. Everything turned out great and I'm glad it's over. :) Now here's hoping I don't get dry socket.

Oh you poor dear! I got my wisdom teeth out in high school and it was no fun. I did eat lots of milk shakes though! That was the best part for sure.

No Fun! Glad you were together. When the doc pulled mine a few years ago, Marc said that I was down right mean after coming to. They say sedation is to inebriation...it's a good thing I never touch alcohol...apparently I would be a very mean drunk!

Love to you!

Oh my goodness I forgot all about the wisdom teeth. I remember when you told me you were going to do this it seemed like forever away. I love that pic. For a second I thought it was you. Totally funny. Let me know if I need me to bring over Blue Bell ice cream on Tuesday (you know for the horrible tooth pain of course ;) you've got to milk that for all it's worth...)

I'm sure you will do just fine. Glad to hear it went well. AT least you didn't get frost bite, like Michelle did. ha ha ha

I didn't know you were getting your wisdom teeth out! Well that's probably because I haven't talked to you in way too long. I have been thinking about you a ton! I wish I could have gotten your call last night, but I will be sure to call you soon. Anyway, I hope that you don't get dry socket and you have a speedy recovery!

You are so lucky that you were good to go after only a day! It took me like a week to feel better. Jonathan totally thought that was a pic of you said.. did they get a lab? Then he realized it was a drawing. I finally put pics up of the house on our blog, but everything is way messy bc we're still unpacking. What's dry socket?
